Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano will travel to London on Friday, Jan. 28.
While in London, Secretary Napolitano will meet with International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary General Efthimios Mitropoulos.
They will discuss cooperative initiatives to increase the security and resilience of the global supply chain and bolster cargo security.
The include efforts to support DHS’ continued collaboration with the World Customs Organization (WCO) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Secretary Napolitano will also meet bilaterally with UK Home Secretary Theresa May and Transport Secretary Philip Hammond.
They will discuss collaborative efforts to strengthen cyber, cargo and aviation security and ensure the security and resilience of the global supply chain against terrorism, transnational crime and natural disasters while facilitating the flow of travel and commerce.
