The President met with President Asif Ali Zardari of Pakistan today at the White House.
The discussion focused on our shared efforts to fight terrorism and promote regional stability, specifically on the importance of cooperating toward a peaceful and stable outcome in Afghanistan.
The President underscored the importance of the U.S.-Pakistan relationship and our continued support for Pakistan.
The President said he is looking forward to visiting Pakistan later this year.
President Zardari will attend Ambassador Richard Holbrooke’s memorial service this afternoon at the Kennedy Center.
