Company Announces New $105 Million HQ Campus in NE Ohio.

Governor John R. Kasich joined Diebold, Inc. (NYSE:DBD) officials in announcing that the company will keep its corporate headquarters in Ohio.

They also announced the company plans to build a new corporate campus to consolidate five facilities across Northeast Ohio.

“What Tom [Swidarski, president and CEO of Diebold, Inc.] is excited about and I’m excited about is the world headquarters for Diebold. Remember, 16,000 people, a global business, that global headquarters is going to be right here in the Akron/Canton area, and that $105 million worth of investment in infrastructure, in building a modern facility where their customers can come from all over the world to understand exactly how Diebold works is critical in terms of their being able to have global prominence…It’s very exciting,” said Kasich during today’s event.

Diebold is a 150-year-old, $3 billion annual revenue company headquartered in Summit County.

Diebold is one of 26 Fortune 1,000 companies in Northeast Ohio and is an industry leader in ATM sales and service, a major competitor in physical and electronic security in the banking and commercial sector for sales, service and integration, and has an industry-leading national service organization with more than 3,500 service professionals.
