Lord Drayson, Minister for Science and Innovation at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and Siôn Simon, Minister for Creative Industries at the Department for Culture Media and Sport today announced the appointment of Sir John Chisholm, FREng, CEng, FIEE as Chair of the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts (NESTA).
Lord Drayson said:
“The knowledge and experience that Sir John Chisholm will bring to the role of chair will make a vital contribution to NESTA’s excellent work. I am pleased to welcome him aboard.”
Siôn Simon said:
“I’d like to congratulate Sir John Chisholm who brings valuable experience to this new role. NESTA’s excellent work leading up to the publication of the Digital Britain Report has set the scene, and I now look forward to working with him to take this important agenda forward.”
The outgoing chair of NESTA, Sir Chris Powell said:
“We are delighted. Sir John Chisholm knows NESTA well. His stature in science, innovation, research and business will contribute to NESTA’s purposes very well.”
